Importance: Why this competency is important to our organization, mission, strategy, or goals.

It should be no surprise that many workers still want - and need - greater flexibility and balance than they used to have for work and life.  Whether it's the challenge of child-care and lingering pandemic conditions, or an awareness that the "old model" of doing business is no longer fulfilling or acceptable, workers have a host of reasons for why they seek employers who are willing to provide what they want.  It can be tough for business leaders to know how to give without giving in, or flex without breaking.  Finding ways to provide more flexibility and balance is a smart way for business owners and leaders to ensure they can find and keep great workers.
