Affordable and easy solutions for small business owners addressing key issues associated with attracting, hiring and keeping talent in today's tough labor market. 

This series offers seven short virtual sessions designed specifically for small business owners that address current talent acquisition concerns and provides action items that can be customized and used immediately to make themselves more able to attract and retain the workers they need.  The over-arching theme is about company culture but will be broken down into more discrete elements with practical, tactical ideas for each.  Participants are encouraged to step back and assess how they can effectively implement changes and improvements that are not complicated, don’t take much time or money to apply, and yet can have a significant impact on the bottom line during these challenging times.

  • Key factors driving the "war for talent" in today's challenging labor market - what's holding people back from applying for jobs, or sticking with their employers
  • Which areas small business owners can focus on that will help attract and retain employees
  • How benefits go beyond medical coverage, and are a top driver for attraction and retention
  • The importance of company culture in creating a holistic space in which people will want to work
  • Workers care about who they work with, and for, and what can be done to improve quality of staff
  • Basic elements of career development and how offering opportunities for learning and development is a winning formula for employers and employees
  • Ways to be creative in providing more balance and flexibility at work, even when it's hard to do
  • How to do a great job of posting, interviewing and hiring to get top talent in today's labor market

Participants will be able to:

  • immediately apply knowledge and ideas to their business to make positive changes
  • access further information (articles etc.) that expand on the series topics and provide additional insights and potential solutions to common challenges
  • discuss topic areas further with the facilitator/consultant to get additional support on how to implement changes in their business

Each presentation was great! Michelle is an awesome presenter and had many good tips to share. She also took the time to answer questions and entertain scenarios. I would recommend this training series to anyone struggling with hiring and retention.
